DEVELOP YOUR TALENTS & SKILLS

David and his team of experienced and caring teachers can help you to develop your talents and increase your skills in VOICE PRODUCTION, BREATHING, VIBRATO, TONE, PITCH, VOCAL RANGE, AUDITION PREPARATION, MICROPHONE TECHNIQUE, STAGE & TV PRESENTATION and PERFORMANCE STRATEGIES. You will even be directed in how to best develop YOUR OWN STYLE as well as tips on DRESS and MAKE-UP.

PRIVATE SINGING LESSONS

Private Singing Lessons with David are usually from 25 minutes to 55 minutes in length depending on individual requirements. Most lessons are scheduled for the same day and time every week and correspond to School Terms. Ask David about his backing tracks and word sheets. Students are most welcome to choose their own material and bring their own sheet music, CDs or favourite backing tracks of songs they would like to learn to perform. David Willis, is one of Australia’s leading Musical Directors who co-founded the Australian Children’s Choir. David’s recent Gold Coast Musicals include Brigadoon, The Full Monty, Gypsy and Footloose. Numerous performers of stage and screen owe their success to David’s individual teaching style, including stars from Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, The Boy From Oz and Young Talent Time.

GROUP SINGING AND PRESENTATION LESSONS FOR KIDS AND TEENS

Group Singing Lessons are currently programmed for Monday afternoons with our experienced and caring teachers. Presentation, choreography as well as voice production are all part of these enjoyable lessons.

GROUP ACTING LESSONS FOR STAGE AND TV FOR KIDS AND TEENS

These Acting classes are timetabled for Monday evenings and divided into three groups - Junior (5 - 9 years), Intermediate (10 - 13 years) and Senior (14 - 18 years). We are delighted to have on staff, experienced TV and Stage Actor, Jamie Timony. Jamie's recent credits include regular appearances on Channel 10's H2o and a guest appearance on Channel 7's All Saints. Jamie aspires to teach acting while pursuing a film career and believes the best way to continue learning about one's craft is by influencing others of a similar passion. Jamie is very excited to be given the opportunity to pass on some of his training, knowledge and industry experience to his enthusiastic students.

PERFORMANCE IS PARAMOUNT!

The Australian Talent School prides itself on its emphasis on PERFORMANCE. Singing and Acting Students are encouraged to perform in musical productions and eisteddfods as well as one or more of our many regular Cabarets, Concerts and Workshops.
