David Willis - Founder of the
Australian Talent School?

The Australian Talent School was a dream which
became a reality for the principal, David Willis, in 1988.

It's success since then has been driven by five basic principles:

  • aiming to provide first-class Performing Arts education to children and adults, amateurs and professionals alike, throughout all of Australia.

  • working only with experienced and successful teachers who can demonstrate a high level of Performing Arts achievement.

  • being able to foster a  caring and safe environment with high levels of ethics and values, allowing students to develop skills, self-esteem, confidence and dignity.

  • Providing opportunities for, and encouraging, regular performances through ATS concerts, local eisteddfods, competitions, amateur plays, musicals and productions - always remembering "Performance is Paramount" (David Willis, 1988).

  • Presenting advanced students with opportunities for employment in varying Performing Arts fields through reputable agencies in our ATS Network.

As well as providing mentoring and experience for students interested in careers as Performing Arts teachers or technicians.
